The meter counts every request this page makes and the bytes each one sends. Downloads are this site’s code and fonts; AI tools also download their model in a background helper, which your browser’s developer tools (Network tab) show too. Check it there, or switch on airplane mode.

Instagram Panorama Splitter: what it does

A panorama shot on a phone is often four to eight times wider than it is tall. Posted as one photo, Instagram shrinks it to a thin strip or crops the sides away. Split into slides instead, it fills the screen and people swipe along the view. Add your panorama and the splitter picks the number of slides that keeps its full height (Auto), or choose 2 to 10 slides yourself. Pick square, 4:5 or 3:4 slides, drag the frame to choose the part of the view you want, and swipe the preview to check where the cuts fall. Download the slides numbered in order and post them as one carousel. The panorama is cut by your own browser at full resolution and is never uploaded.

    How to use it

    1. Drop a wide photo or panorama into the box, paste it with Ctrl+V, or tap to choose one from your phone.
    2. Pick the number of slides (or Auto) and the shape: 1:1, 4:5 or 3:4.
    3. Drag the frame to choose the part that is used, zoom in, or pick “Whole photo” to keep everything on a blurred or coloured background.
    4. Swipe the preview, then download the slides as a ZIP and add them to one carousel post in order, slide 1 first.

    Tips

    • Let Auto pick the number of slides first: it keeps the whole height of the panorama, then remove a slide or two if the ends are empty.
    • Taller slides (4:5 or 3:4) need more slides for the same panorama, but each one fills more of the phone screen.
    • Hold the phone level and keep the horizon in the middle when you shoot: a tilted horizon looks like a staircase across the slides.
    • Check the cut lines in the preview and move the frame so a person or a landmark isn’t split in two.
    • If the panorama is very long, choose “Whole photo” to keep everything on a blurred background instead of cropping the ends.

    Frequently asked questions

How do I post a panorama on Instagram without cropping it?

Split it into equal slides and post them as one carousel. Add your panorama above, keep Slides on Auto so the full height is kept, download the ZIP and add the slides to one post in order, 01 first.

How many slides do I need for a panorama?

Divide the panorama’s width by its height, then by the slide shape: a 4:1 panorama needs 4 square slides or 5 slides at 4:5. Auto does this for you and rounds to the nearest whole slide.

    What size are the slides?

    1080 pixels wide: 1080 × 1080 (1:1), 1080 × 1350 (4:5) or 1080 × 1440 (3:4), the sizes Instagram shows without cropping.

    Will my panorama lose quality?

Only if it is smaller than the slides. A panorama of 1080 pixels per slide or more stays sharp; the tool tells you when the slides are enlarged.

    Is my panorama uploaded?

No. It is cut by your browser on your device, and the slides are saved straight to it. Nothing is sent to our servers.
