Never expires. The link is inside the code itself, not behind a redirect, so there’s nothing to renew and nothing that can be switched off.

Your photos and text are processed by your own browser. They never reach our servers, or anyone else’s.

Your data stays yours

No account, no copies, no history on our side. We can’t see, keep or share files we never receive.

Full resolution, no watermark. Anything saved in your browser can be deleted in one click.

Check it yourself: once this page has loaded, switch on airplane mode and make a QR code. It still works, because your links and passwords never needed our servers. Privacy controls

WiFi QR Code Generator: what it does

Enter your network name and password, and print the QR code for your café, office, Airbnb or living room. Guests open the camera on their iPhone or Android phone, tap the notification and they are connected: no spelling out a long password. The code uses the standard WIFI: format that iOS 11+ and Android 10+ cameras read natively, and handles special characters in network names and passwords correctly. Because it is generated in your browser, your WiFi password never leaves your device: it is not uploaded, logged or stored by us.

How to use it

  1. Choose what the code should open: a link, WiFi, WhatsApp, email, phone, SMS or a contact card.
  2. Fill in the details. The QR code updates as you type.
  3. Under Design, pick a style and colours, and add your logo if you like.
  4. Download a PNG (up to 4096 px) or an SVG for print, and test it with your phone camera before printing.

Tips

  • Use a separate guest network and put its QR code on display, not your main network’s.
  • Network names are case-sensitive: copy the exact name from your router or phone settings.
  • Changed the password? The old code stops working: make and print a new one.
  • Add a line under the printed code: “Scan to join WiFi” and the network name, for older phones that need typing.
  • Laminate the printout or put it in a frame: a creased code is harder to scan.

Frequently asked questions

How do guests use a WiFi QR code?

On iPhone (iOS 11 or later) and most Android phones (Android 10 or later), open the camera, point it at the code and tap the “Join network” notification. Older Android phones can scan it with Google Lens or the QR scanner in Quick Settings.

Is it safe to put my WiFi password in a QR code?

The code contains the password in readable form, so treat it like the password itself: anyone who scans it can see it. Use it for a guest network. Making the code here is safe: the password stays in your browser and is never uploaded.

Which security type should I pick?

WPA / WPA2 / WPA3 for almost every router made in the last 15 years. Choose WEP only for very old equipment, and None for an open network with no password.

Does it work for hidden networks?

Yes. Tick “Hidden network” so phones know to look for a network that doesn’t broadcast its name.

Will the code stop working?

No, it never expires. It only stops working if you change the network name or password.
