About the Markdown to PDF Converter
Paste Markdown or open a .md file and see it as formatted pages straight away: headings, bullet and numbered lists, bold and italic, links, quotes, inline code, horizontal rules and page breaks. Pick a template, paper size and font, then save it as a PDF. Everything runs in your browser, so your notes and drafts are never uploaded.
How to use it
- Paste or type your text, or open a .txt or .md file. Add a title, subtitle, author and date if you like.
- Choose a template, font, colours, paper size and orientation. The preview shows the real pages as you type.
- Click “Download PDF”. Your browser’s print window opens.
- Choose “Save as PDF” as the destination and save. The text stays selectable in the PDF.
Tips
- Open a .md file with the “Open .txt / .md” button, or drag it onto the text box.
- Links become clickable in the PDF. Only full web addresses (https://…) are turned into links.
- Numbered lists keep their starting number, so a list that begins at 4 still starts at 4.
- Use Landscape for wide notes and handouts; A4 or US Letter match what people will print.
- Supported Markdown: headings (#, ##, ###), lists, bold, italic, inline code, links, > quotes and --- rules. Tables and images are not supported yet.
Frequently asked questions
Is my Markdown uploaded?
No. It is converted and saved as a PDF by your own browser, and never leaves your device.
Which Markdown features work?
Headings (#, ##, ###), bullet and numbered lists, **bold**, *italic*, inline `code`, [links](https://…), > quotes, --- rules and [page break]. Tables, images and code blocks are not supported yet.
Why does a print window open?
Your browser saves the PDF through its print window, which keeps the text sharp, selectable and searchable. Choose “Save as PDF” as the destination.
Can I change the look?
Yes. Choose the Editorial, Clean or Bold template, the font, the page and accent colours, the paper size and orientation, and whether to add a cover page and page numbers.
Is there a watermark?
No. There is no watermark, no page limit and no sign-up.
