Signature Resizer: what it does

Online forms often want a signature of an exact size, such as 140 × 60 pixels under 20 KB, and a phone photo of a signature rarely looks good at that size: grey paper, shadows, a tilted page and lots of empty space around the ink. Sign on plain white paper, take a photo, and drop it here. The tool flattens the lighting, turns the paper pure white, keeps the ink sharp (in its own colour, black or blue), crops tightly around the signature and fits it into the size the form asks for, under the KB limit, as a JPG or a PNG with a transparent background. If faint strokes go missing or the paper shows through, move the “Faint strokes” slider. Your signature never leaves your device, which is how it should be.

How to use it

1. Sign with a dark pen on plain white paper and take a photo from straight above, in good light.
2. Drop the photo into the box. The paper turns white, the ink stays sharp and the signature is cropped tight.
3. Pick the size your form asks for, or type the width, height and maximum KB. Choose the ink colour and JPG or PNG.
4. Check the list under the preview (pixels, KB, format), then click Download.

Tips

• Sign with a dark pen on plain white paper, larger than usual. Big signatures stay clearer when shrunk.
• Photograph it from straight above in daylight, without your shadow over the page.
• Need it for a document or an e-mail signature? Choose PNG with a transparent background.
• If the form also states a minimum file size, type it in Min KB; the picture won’t change.
