Add Text to Photo: what it does
Type your words, drop in a photo, and get a picture with clean, readable text, without fiddling with text boxes. The text sizes itself to fit, wraps neatly, and sits on a soft fade so it stays readable on bright or busy photos. Put it at the top, middle or bottom, choose a font, and download a square, portrait or story-sized image. Your photo never leaves your device.
How to use it
- Add your photo: drop it on the preview, paste it, or tap “Add photo”. Optionally add your logo.
- Type a headline, an optional subline, the button text and your brand name.
- Pick a layout, a size and an accent colour. Click the photo to choose what stays in frame.
- Download the image, or every size as one ZIP.
Tips
- Short text reads best on a phone screen: one line of up to about eight words, plus an optional second line in the subline.
- Use the Gradient layout for text straight on the photo, Glass for a frosted panel, or Colour card when the photo is very busy.
- Move the text to the top or middle when the bottom of the photo has the important part.
- Arabic and Urdu text is detected automatically and set right to left.
- Want a button or your logo too? Add button text or a logo and it becomes a full social media post.
Frequently asked questions
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The text is drawn onto your photo by your own browser. Nothing is sent to our servers.
Why can’t I drag the text anywhere?
The tool places text for you so it never runs off the edge, never sits under app buttons and is always big enough to read. You choose top, middle or bottom, and click the photo to choose which part of it stays in frame.
Which fonts can I use?
A set of clean, free fonts for headlines, including Arabic script. They load from this website, so your text isn’t sent anywhere either.
Is there a watermark?
No. The download is exactly what you see, with no watermark and no sign-up.
