WebP to JPG Converter: what it does
Saved an image from a website and got a .webp file that your app, printer shop or upload form won’t accept? Convert it to JPG here: drop one or many WebP files and download standard JPGs that open everywhere. Transparent areas become white or a colour you pick, quality is adjustable, and animated WebPs are converted from their first frame. It all runs in your browser, so the conversion is instant and private.
How to use it
- Drop your images into the box, paste them, or tap to choose them from your phone. Add as many as you like.
- Pick the output format and quality. Optionally set a maximum size or a target file size in KB.
- Each image is processed on your device and listed with its old and new size.
- Download images one by one, or all of them as one ZIP.
Tips
- WebP images with transparency (logos, stickers) are better converted to PNG, which keeps the transparency.
- Use 90%+ quality when converting: the WebP is already compressed, so a high JPG quality avoids adding more loss.
- Want to stop getting WebP files? In Chrome and Edge, “Copy image” and paste into this page also works: paste with Ctrl+V.
Frequently asked questions
Why are images on websites saved as WebP?
WebP is a modern format from Google that is 25–35% smaller than JPG at the same quality, so websites load faster. Some older programs and forms still don’t accept it.
Can I convert animated WebP?
The first frame is converted to a still JPG. JPG can’t store animation.
Does converting lose quality?
A little, because both formats are lossy. At 92% quality (the default here) the difference is not visible.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Your browser converts them on your device.
