Image Resizer: what it does

Resize a photo to exactly the size you need. Type a width and a height in pixels (with “Keep proportions” on, the height follows the width so nothing is stretched), or tick the platform sizes you post to and get them all at once: Instagram post and story, Facebook cover, X header, LinkedIn banner, YouTube thumbnail and banner, Pinterest pin, TikTok cover, WhatsApp profile photo and Status. When the new shape is different from the photo, choose “Crop to fill” and click the photo to pick what stays in frame, or “Fit inside” to keep the whole photo on a blurred or coloured background. Download each image or all of them in one ZIP. The photo is resized by your browser at full quality, so it is never uploaded, and GPS location and other EXIF data are removed from the copies.

How to use it

  1. Drop a photo into the box, paste it with Ctrl+V, or tap to choose one from your phone.
  2. Type the width and height you need under “Custom size”, or tick the platform sizes you want.
  3. If the shape changes, pick “Crop to fill” and click the photo to set what stays in frame, or “Fit inside” to keep all of it.
  4. Download each image, or all of them as one ZIP.

Tips

  • Need a file under a size limit (for example 100 KB) rather than exact pixels? Use the image compressor after resizing.
  • Making an image smaller keeps it sharp; making a small image much bigger can’t add detail, so start from the original photo.
  • Use the focus point to keep faces in frame: wide banners and tall stories crop very differently.
  • Choose “Fit inside” for logos, posters and screenshots so nothing gets cut off.
  • JPG is best for photos, PNG keeps logos and text sharp, and WebP gives the smallest files for websites.

Frequently asked questions

How do I resize an image to a specific size in pixels?

Add the photo, tick “Custom size” and type the width and height. Keep “Keep proportions” on to change the size without stretching; turn it off to set both numbers, then choose “Crop to fill” or “Fit inside”.

Can I resize one photo for every social media platform at once?

Yes. Tick the sizes you need under “Sizes” and click “Download all”: you get one ZIP with a correctly sized copy for each platform, named by platform and size.

Does resizing reduce quality?

Making an image smaller keeps it sharp. JPG and WebP copies are saved at 90% quality, which looks the same as the original on screen; choose PNG for a lossless copy.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Your browser resizes the photo on your device with the Canvas API. Nothing is sent to our servers.
