JPG to WebP Converter: what it does
Make your website faster by serving WebP images. WebP files are typically 25–35% smaller than JPGs of the same visual quality, and unlike JPG they keep transparency, so they also replace PNG logos and cut-outs at a fraction of the size. Drop your JPG and PNG images, choose quality (80% is a good default for the web) and a maximum width, and download them all as a ZIP. Every current browser supports WebP, as do WordPress, Shopify and most site builders. The conversion runs in your browser, so even large batches are quick and private.
How to use it
- Drop your images into the box, paste them, or tap to choose them from your phone. Add as many as you like.
- Pick the output format and quality. Optionally set a maximum size or a target file size in KB.
- Each image is processed on your device and listed with its old and new size.
- Download images one by one, or all of them as one ZIP.
Tips
- For blog and product photos, 1600–1920 px wide at 75–82% quality is a good balance of sharpness and speed.
- Keep the original JPGs: some email clients, marketplaces and print shops still want JPG.
- In WordPress, upload the WebP files directly: WordPress has supported WebP since version 5.8.
- Transparent PNG logos often shrink by 70–90% as WebP with no visible change.
