Text Behind Image: what it does
The “text behind” look puts a huge headline behind the person or product in a photo, so the subject seems to stand in front of the words. It is popular for posters, YouTube thumbnails, event posts and product launches, and normally takes layers and masking in a photo editor. Here an AI model cuts out the subject in your browser, the headline is drawn behind it, and you can add a subline, a button, your logo and brand name in front. Choose the text colour, font and size, move the headline to the top, middle or bottom, and download a 4:5, 3:4, square or story-sized image. The AI downloads once (about 47 MB on a computer, 5 MB on a phone) and runs on your device, so your photo is never uploaded.
How to use it
- Add your photo: drop it on the preview, paste it, or tap “Add photo”.
- Type a short headline, then click “Put the text behind the subject”. The first time, the AI downloads once and stays in your browser.
- Pick the text colour, font and size, and move the headline to the top, middle or bottom. Click the photo to move it in the frame.
- Add a subline, button or logo if you like, and download the image or every size as one ZIP.
Tips
- Photos with space above the head work best: the headline sits behind the top of the subject, where it stays readable.
- Use one or two short words in capitals. The headline fills the width, so fewer letters means bigger text.
- Pick a text colour that stands out from the background, not from the person: white on a dark sky, black on a pale wall.
- Click the photo to move it in the frame until the head overlaps the middle of the letters.
- Save your logo, colours and font as a brand kit: they fill in on every post maker page next time.
Frequently asked questions
How do I put text behind a person in a photo?
Add the photo, type your headline and click “Put the text behind the subject”. The AI cuts out the person on your device and the headline is drawn behind them. Then adjust the colour, size and position and download.
Is my photo uploaded to an AI service?
No. The AI model downloads to your browser once and runs on your own device. The photo, the cut-out and the finished image never leave it, and the page works in airplane mode after the first run.
Why are some edges rough?
The quick model is tuned for speed. Hair and very thin details can lose a little detail where they cross the letters. Photos with a clear outline against the background give the cleanest result.
Does it work for products too?
Yes. Anything the background remover can cut out works: people, pets, products, food. Product launches with the name behind the product are a classic use.
Is there a watermark?
No. The download is exactly what you see, at full size, with no watermark and no sign-up.
