WhatsApp Sticker Maker: what it does
Make stickers of yourself, your friends, your pet, your product or your logo. The AI removes the background on your own device, then the cut-out is centred on a 512 × 512 transparent square with the white outline WhatsApp recommends, so it stands out on any chat background. Add a short caption like “On my way!” or “Thank you!”, choose its colour and position, and download a WebP that follows WhatsApp’s sticker rules: exactly 512 × 512 pixels and under 100 KB. Add it in WhatsApp Web or the desktop app with Stickers → Create, or send it to Telegram’s @Stickers bot. Businesses can make a set of branded stickers (logo, “Order received”, “Thank you”) for customer chats.
How to use it
- Drop a photo into the box, paste it with Ctrl+V, or tap to choose one from your phone. A person, pet, product or logo works best.
- The first time only, allow the AI model to download. It is saved in your browser, so your photo never has to be uploaded.
- The background is removed and the cut-out is centred on a 512 × 512 square. Pick the outline and add a short caption if you like.
- Download the WebP sticker (under 100 KB), then add it in WhatsApp Web or desktop with Stickers → Create, or send it to Telegram’s @Stickers bot.

Tips
- Use a photo where the person or object is sharp and fully in the frame: cut-off arms or ears look odd as a sticker.
- Keep captions to two to four words. Stickers are shown small, and long text becomes hard to read.
- The thin outline (8 px) is what WhatsApp recommends. Use thick for photos with fine hair or fur, which can look messy at the edge.
- To add the sticker: in WhatsApp Web or desktop, open a chat, click the emoji button, open Stickers, choose Create and pick the file. After you send it, tap it on your phone and add it to your favourites.
- For Telegram, start a pack with the @Stickers bot (/newpack) and send it the file.
- Make a small set for your business: your logo, “Thank you!”, “Order shipped” and “See you soon”, all with the same outline and text colour.
Frequently asked questions
What size is a WhatsApp sticker?
Exactly 512 × 512 pixels, in WebP format, with a transparent background and no more than 100 KB for a still sticker. WhatsApp also recommends an 8 px white outline. This tool follows all of these; see the table on this page and WhatsApp’s sticker guide on GitHub.
How do I add the sticker to WhatsApp?
The easiest way is WhatsApp Web or the desktop app: open a chat, click the emoji button, go to Stickers, choose Create and pick the file you downloaded. Once it’s in a chat, you can tap it on your phone and add it to your favourite stickers.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The background is removed by an AI model that runs in your browser, and the sticker is drawn on your device. Your photo never leaves it.
Can I make animated stickers?
Not here yet. This tool makes still stickers. WhatsApp’s rules for animated stickers are different (up to 500 KB and 10 seconds).
Does it work on phones?
Yes. Phones use a lighter 5 MB AI model, which is fast and good enough for sticker-sized images.
