Tweet Generator: what it does
Tweet-style quote cards are one of the most shared formats on Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok: a short, punchy thought in the look of a post, often on a colour background or over a video. This generator makes that card from your own words. Type the text (#hashtags, @mentions and links turn blue), add your name, @handle and profile photo, and optionally a photo in the post. Pick light, dim or dark, show or hide the time, views, replies, reposts and likes, and download a 1080 px PNG at 4:5 for the feed, square, 9:16 for Reels and Shorts, or the card alone with no background, to drop on top of a video in CapCut or Canva. No platform logo or verification badge is drawn: it is a template for your own content.
How to use it
- Type your post text. Hashtags, @mentions and links turn blue automatically.
- Add your name, @handle and profile photo, and a photo in the post if you like.
- Pick light, dim or dark, a size (4:5, square, 9:16 for Reels and Shorts, or the card alone) and a background colour.
- Set the time, date, views and counts, or hide them, then download the PNG or copy it straight into your design app.
Tips
- One idea per card. The posts that get shared as images are short: one or two sentences.
- Use 4:5 for the Instagram and Facebook feed, and 9:16 with the card in the middle for Reels, Shorts and Stories.
- For a video background, download “Card only” and place it on top of your clip in your editor.
- Turn the counts off for a clean quote card, or keep them for a “post that went viral” style.
- Turn a carousel into a thread: one card per slide, same theme and background, numbered 1/5, 2/5 in the text.
- Post your own words under your own name or your brand’s. Don’t make posts that look like they come from someone else.
Frequently asked questions
What can I use a tweet image for?
Quote posts on Instagram and LinkedIn, carousel slides, ad creatives, Reels and Shorts backgrounds, presentations and newsletters: anywhere you want your own words in the familiar post look.
Does it add a verification badge or the X logo?
No. It draws the post layout only, with no platform logo or verification badge. It isn’t made by or connected to X.
How many characters can I write?
Up to 1,200. The counter shows how long the text is as X counts it (links 23, emoji 2), so you know if it would fit a normal 280-character post.
Can I add a photo?
Yes, one photo under the text, with rounded corners like a real post. It is read by your browser and never uploaded.
Is it free?
Yes, with no watermark, no sign-up and no limit. The image is made on your device.
