Business Proposal Template: what it does
A proposal has to look as professional as the work it sells. Paste your proposal and this template turns it into a designed PDF: a cover with a big accent arc, the title, “Prepared for” your client and “Prepared by” you, and inside pages that stay calm so the price and the plan are easy to read. Tables become a clean price table with a bold total row, a numbered timeline comes from a simple list, and the last page can end with signature lines for both sides. You see the real pages as you type, and the PDF is made by your browser: your prices and client details never leave your device.
How to use it
- Paste or type your text, or open a .txt or .md file. Add a title, subtitle, author and date if you like.
- Choose a template, font, colours, paper size and orientation. The preview shows the real pages as you type.
- Click “Download PDF”. Your browser’s print window opens.
- Choose “Save as PDF” as the destination and save. The text stays selectable in the PDF.
Tips
- Put the client’s goal near the start, in a quote (> …): it shows as a highlighted box and reminds them why they are reading.
- Make the last row of the price table start with “Total”: it gets a bold rule above it.
- Write the timeline as :::steps, one “When · What | detail” per line, then :::.
- End with :::sign Client name | Your name for two signature lines.
- Fill in “Prepared for” and a reference number: they appear on the cover and the client’s name on every page header.
Frequently asked questions
What should a business proposal include?
What the client wants to achieve, what you will do, what is not included, the price, the timeline and how to accept. This template has a block for each: a goal box, lists, a price table with a total, numbered steps and signature lines.
Can the client sign the PDF?
The signature lines are printed lines with each name under them, for signing a printed copy or adding a signature in a PDF app. This tool doesn’t collect signatures online.
Can I use my own colours?
Yes. Pick the page and accent colours and the font. The cover arc, the timeline numbers and the total rule use the accent colour.
Are my prices and client names uploaded?
No. The proposal is laid out and saved as a PDF by your own browser. Nothing you type is sent to our servers.
